Car Rental Offices

Does any one know where the different car rental offices are in GT or around the pier there? And possibly how far they are from the pier? Thanks in advance for any help, we're visiting GC for the first time in Sept. while on a cruise and want to make the most out of our time

Hi - the only Carf Rental place around the pier is Cayman Auto Rental - it is approximately 3 blocks north of the New Pier Terminal in George Town.

 

All the other major ones will provide you transport to their locations and are either located in the hotel zone on Seven Mile Beach (SMB) or next to the airport in central George Town - known locally as Industrial park.

Avis (see http://www.aviscayman.com/cruise.htm) has a pickup location at the Blue Iguana, which is very close to the pier - about a 5 or 10 minute walk right down the main road.

 

You simply call from the Blue Iguana and they will send a shuttle that then takes you to the airport. A couple of minutes to complete paperwork and you get the car. Bring the car back to the airport and the shuttle takes you back downtown.

 

We did this about a month ago and had no problems.
