We always have to book handicapped rooms since my mom is handicapped.

Carnival HC cabins are not any larger than regular cabins. They have less furniture (no sofa) in the cabin, so they may appear more roomy. The door to the cabin is wider to allow a wheelchair, walker, etc. The entrance to the bathroom is also wider and has no step. The bathroom is larger than a regular cabin bathroom and the shower has a build in seat. When you have a shower...... beware......... the entire bathroom will flood.

There is less closet space in the cabin and the sink is lower to accomodate people in wheelchairs.

Be very thankful you dont HAVE to book these cabins. :o

yes they are. Generally the rooms are bigger. The bathrooms have showers and are also bigger. Generally you can only book a handicap cabin if you have a disability that requires it. Most people are in wheel chairs or on scooters. My experience with handicap cabins are they are generally at the front of the ship.
