Pictures in or near water

I have had so many people ask me how our pictures turned out so nice in the water so I thought I'd post what we used.

 

I bought an aquapac. It is a waterproof bag that you can work any digital camera inside of. They cost around $30 online.

I was a little skeptical when I bought it and was scared to put my camera in it in the water.

 

It really worked great. It was completely watertight, took clear, great pictures and floated.

 

This last feature really came in handy while cave tubing in Belize. I actually went over a few small rapids and didn't have the strap around my neck. I didn't even realize it was gone for about a minute..but it floated right to my husband who was behind me. He rather enjoyed watching me freak out while he hid the camera..LOL.

 

Anyway..almost ALL my pictures were taken through this bag. I only took it out while on the ship. Other than that I used my camera in the bag. Feel free to take a look at them

Great Pics! We did the stingray excursion a few years ago and loved it. I'll have to look into one of those aquapacs. We always wind up not taking the good camera off the ship to beaches & excursions for fear of ruining it so this will be perfect.

 

I was looking at the features on the website. Did your camera have a zoom lens? If so how did you do with the smaller pac? Ours is small with the zoom so I'm not sure if we should get the larger pac.

Mine camera is a small/med size with a zoom and it fit in the small pac. Zoom actually worked really good

Thanks for posting the picture links and info. I have been debating with myself about buying a waterpak for my camera. I already own the "belly bag" for swimming at the beach. Now I am sure I will get one for my camera. I was afraid to submerge it, its expensive but has a 10 X zoom. I more confident about this issue after reading your review. Thanks again!

I know..I was also afraid. I tested it in my sink with paper first..LOL.
