cruzeluver Posted May 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2006 I wouldn't worry about it. Nassau can accomodate quite a few ships. All cruises to the Bahamas stop there, and many Eastern Caribbean cruises go to Nassau as well. Its a very popular and busy port! But its large enough that you shouldn't feel too crowded in, especially if you get away from the immediate downtown area, which can be pretty busy. We were there last fall with four other ships and it wasn't a problem.
KINGBOBOFTHENORTH Posted May 6, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2006 It's not unusual at all to have 5-6 ships in Nassau at the same time. It's a pretty good sized downtown area and a lot of people head right to Atlantis. Please note the arrival times of the ships on your day in Nassau. Sometimes 1 or 2 of the ships don't arrive until 11am or noon meaning its most crowded through the afternoon but less so that morning. One or more ships may depart between 4pm-6pm which makes things a bit better again. BobK/Orlando
