sharecruises Posted May 4, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 4, 2006 Getting excited..leave on Monday on Imagination of course, shorter cruise, but still wanted some ideas of what are the 'best" menu choices ..stuff to 'not miss"??? items to pass up?? Yes, I know we can send food back, ask for a 2nd entree..but still I would rather just get some input what items did you love? hate? have raves/rants about? best choice for dinner items....dessert? appetizer?? shrimp cocktail? items to avoid on the buffet...ones to try that I might have overlooked without your input?? any ideas appreciated...thanks
cubdaddy Posted May 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 4, 2006 We loved most of the food on the Imagination! She is a great ship. I always enjoyed the Prime Rib, Lobster and anything else beef! I tried Escargot for the first time and loved it! Surprised the heck out of me! My favorite dessert is the Grand Marnaie Sauce (SP) and Souffle' (SP). Also, a couple times at the buffet they had these 8" long shrimp fried in Peko that was out of this world! We were on the ship for 9 days and ate so much I cannot remember everything but I can tell you that it was almost all great!:D
Cotton Posted May 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 4, 2006 I have no meals from the buffet, but in the dining room, my favorites are: Fish - Chilean Sea Bass Seafood - Delice of the Ocean , Mussels and Shrimp Provencale, Coquilles St. Jacques Beef - Chateaubriand, Beef Wellington, Prime Rib Other - Long Island Roast Duckling, New Zealand Spring Lamb I don't believe they have an appetizer or soup that I don't like.:) One thing I really like in the dining room for lunch is the Mongolian Steak Salad....and the French pastries. From room service, try the Roast Beef and Brie on baguette!
