laf747 Posted May 7, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2006 I would like to direct this question to the Cunard historians who monitor this board. In the days of the old Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth when they were doing the transatlantic voyages, which ship(s) did Cunard use for their WC? pepperrn Posted May 7, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2006 Laconia (II) did the first world cruise in 1922, Samaria (II) in 1923, Franconia (II) was used pre-war for sure, I'm looking to see if there were others. Pepper.
pkpon Posted May 7, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 7, 2006 The Caronia normally did a world cruise. Affectionally known as the "Green Goddess" she is still considerd by many to be the finest cruise ship of all time.

Pepper. Caronia's first world cruise was in 1951. QE2's first WC was in 1975. Still checking for others. Pepper.
