BobolGrobol Posted May 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2006 Hi everybody, Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have never sailed Carnival before. ;) Can parents go into Camp Carnival too or do you have to *leave* your kids there? My daughter has some special needs and so we will need to stay with her, but I wouldn't mind bringing her into the play area so she could play with us watching her. If that's allowed, of course. Thanks for any responses. Ang :)

I&MsMom Posted May 10, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 10, 2006 You leave your child. The only time parents are permitted in the playroom is when the camp facilities are opened up to the under 2 crowd (when the official camp is closed) or when you pick your sleeping child up from the babysitting offered from 10 pm on. On one cruise, there was a young girl with special needs in my daughter's age group (2 to 5), and the counselors were truly amazing with her. I would speak to the counselors at the orientation the first night to see what they suggest. In your case, they may make an exception or accommodation to the normal "drop off" routine. Thank you I&MsMom -- I appreciate the reply and now I know we aren't allowed in. ;) I'll talk to them about my daughter's special needs and maybe she can still make use of the facilities. :D
