Guide In Manzanillo/turtle City

Can anyone recommed a tour guide for Manzanillo that they might have used.

We are interested in going to the Cuyutlan Turtle Farm but do not want to take the (6) hour ship tour. We are on the Spirit leaving 11/23/06.

I am also interested in any information I can get regarding the Cuyutlan Turtle tour - What do you do for 6 hours? How much did it cost through the ship? Was it worth it? Would a 15 year old be interested? Thanks for any input you can give me! ;)

We did the Cuyutlan Turtle excursion through the ship - Carnival Spirit - in December. The bus ride is probably 40-50 minutes to the turtle place. There they have tanks of different size turtles, a short movie, a short boat ride thru a lagoon area - much like the Everglades. Everyone went down to the ocean and each was given a tiny baby turtle to let go into the waves. It was quite interesting - a little sad as not many of those babies survive. Then we reboarded the buses and went a couple of miles to this little town on the ocean - name of it escapes me - for lunch at a nice restaurant on the beach. There is a boardwalk there with venders as well. We walked down to the water's edge and watched for miles in either direction as huge waves pounded the shore. A few brave souls ventured in. We thought it was a very different excursion and included a lot for the price. Our granddaughter (l5) was with us and she enjoyed the day too. Hope this helps!
