Aft Cabin Balcony Shade

We are on the Carnival Spirit in November and right now have an aft cabin

on deck 7 - my husbands medicine makes him very sensitive to the sun -

my question I know that we would be taking a lower cat - deck to move to

deck 4 or 5 - but can anyone tell me if the balcony would have more shade.

we would like to stay with the extended balcony and would like to try the

aft cabins.
