brianroberts2526 Posted May 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2006 Just got done writing a very, very long review of our wedding on the Glory so this one will be shorter. I will just run down what we did, and probably do some comparing to RCI; since this was our first Carnival cruise. Also, feel free to ask Q's; I'd love to answer them. These are mostly wedding pics; but will have some cruise pics soon: http://community.webshots.com/album/550337993aotxjn Day 1: Embarkation Priority boarding for wedding; went smooth and even got to skip Muster drill. great wedding. Day 2: Key West Went to Kino's, bought some cigars, stopped by Hogs Breath Day 3: Sea Day Bucket of Beer by the pool Day 4: Belize Rainforest Bike Trail Day 5: Costa Maya Mahuahual= funnest day Day 6: Sea Day Wind down from too much fun in Costa Maya Day 7: Sea Day Bucket of beer by the pool All in all: Food: Even though Ive always been told otherwise, I prefer RCI's food. While the room service Id say are equal. The Ship: Absolutely gorgeous. Rooms: A little bigger, the stewards are on par with RCI. Drinks: Not strong enough, but good selection. Entertainment: Mark Price is 10x any cruise director I have sailed with. Karaoke needs to be put in a bigger room. Casino is big, but tight. I know I am forgetting tons, feel free to ask Q's. brianroberts2526 Posted May 13, 2006 Author #2 Share Posted May 13, 2006 I forgot to mention one thing about the food, while I prefer RCI; Glory had some amazing non dining room choices. My favorites were every night getting either a calzone or pizza from the pizzaria; a reuben from the deli, a burger from the grill, and some fish and chips from fish and chips. Also the 2nd comedian was absolutely hilarious.
Talltales Posted May 14, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Hi, Glad you enjoyed the cruise.....uh, of course you did! Congrats on the wedding. Good suggestion, bigger room for karaoke. Anyway, maybe we'll all see you on an anniversary cruise! Thinking about the new RCI Freedom of the Seas. Never sailed RCI

gypsyrose Posted May 14, 2006 #6 Share Posted May 14, 2006 I was on the cruise the week before you. I too thought Mark Price was really good, especially during the Legends show. Did anyone ever see the asst CD? I think her name is Kelly but I never saw her the whole week. Absolutely beautiful ship and very friendly crew. Do you mean to tell me that Wee Jimmie is not the Asst CD anymore on the Glory? If so I hope he will be on one of my next sailings. I hope we can find out where he is. I have to say that we have had him as ACD on 2 different sailings and absolutely love him. We still watch our travel log & can roll on the floor laughing along with him. If anybody knows of his whereabouts please do tell!

Your bride was beautiful - thanks for sharing your photo album. :) We've done Majahual in Costa Maya and it was pretty fantastic as well! TanIslandGirl Posted May 14, 2006 #12 Share Posted May 14, 2006 Tan..Wee Jimmy is CD, can't remember which ship. He left 2 weeks before our cruise 4/29. I am thrilled to hear that!!!! We have loved him & his crazy antics since we first met him. I will search these boards to try to find out where he is. We are on the Victory in August & Triumph in January. That would be so cool to stumble upon him again. Thanks for the info gypsyrose
TanIslandGirl Posted May 15, 2006 #13 Share Posted May 15, 2006 I did a little searching around these threads and found out that our favorite funny guy "Wee Jimmy" is now the CD on the Sensation. Glad to hear of his promotion but I sure wish he was on one of my upcoming sailings.
