Regal - Bistro - need Information

Can anyone provide me with details about the Bistro (Cafe Del Sol) on the Regal? I know they use part of the Buffet area in the evening, but that's about all I know. What hours are they open, etc? We are sailing on the Regal in August. Thanks for all your help.

It could have changed since we were on the Regal in 2004, but at that time ~

 

about 4 PM the staff would start getting the area ready with linens, etc. Can't recall if there were candles on the tables or not. It is open from about 5 to after midnight, I think, and is similar to going to the dining room but a little less formal. There are menus and waitstaff ~ it seems I recall fixing my own salad at the buffet, but everything else was served. It is quite enjoyable as an alternative to the dining room each evening.

I did alot of searching and finally found someone who had posted the patters from their Regal 10 day Alaska cruise last year. It showed the starting time at 7pm for the Bistro and 6pm for the regular Buffet. Thanks for the other details. We are currently waitlisted for 1st seating (going Aug 4th) and we are looking for other dining options just in case.

I never used the Bistro, but I do remember one specific thing about it (on the Regal). They did *not* have the same food as the dining room. It was a set menu with several choices, and it didn't change from day to day. There was one "special" different dish each day.
