One Night Cruise out of NYC

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am thinking about taking a one night cruise on the Dawn out of NYC in October. I had to cancel my previous trip, and now can take a one day. Can all of the expert cruisers help. What can you do and not do on a one night? And just tell me a little about them. It will be our 10th anniversary, and we are in our mid 30's:D

We had a great time. We were a group of 5 and we had a suite so were able to get reservation which seemed to be the complaint from many people. The casino is very crowded and it seems that everyone is trying to get a whole week into one night. But like I said we had a really good time and I think you will also. Have fun

I posted a similar question yesterday (5/16) as my DH and I are looking to take this same cruise for our 10th anniversal as well. The only feed back that I received was that these cruises are usually very crowded and that people are really trying to cram a lot in in a short amount of time. In any event, maybe we'll see you on board. Enjoy and Happy Anniversary!!!!:)

We did the Mother's Day on the Dawn two years ago. It was nice but in my opinion not worth the money. It was pretty crowded and there was only 1 show so that was crowded too. We got a balcony so the 1 night cost us almost $500. Pretty expensive Mothers Day.

We did the one night on the Dawn on 5/6. I loved being able to see the ship but I would have liked another night! The only time I found it crowded was for sailaway at the barbecue and in the store when it first opened. Otherwise it was not bad. We did NOT go into the casino. I was disappointed that they did not offer a steak at dinner but I am a very picky eater so that is on me. Time DID fly by! If the price is not too bad then go for it. You get to see the ship, sailaway is great, and it is a night out if anything. Hope this helps! :)
