Photography/Video suggestion

If anyone is interested... I suggest purchasing a monopod for photographing or videoing. I got one on ebay for abt $20 + shipping and love it so far. IT is great for equipment with high optical zooms for steady shots. My camcorder has 20X optical zoom and so far the monopod seems to work very well. A monopod is not as bulky as a tripod and when you want to use it you don't have to clear a radius and ask ppl to stand back. You don't have to worry abt ppl kicking the leg(s) as with a tripod either.

I would only add that it takes a fair bit of practice to get the most out of a monopod. If you do plan to take one, get it early and practice with it beforehand.
