Hyatt Day Pass - What's Included?

When we went to Georgetown GC a couple of weeks ago on RCCL's Rhapsody, we caught a cab and ended up at the Hyatt Regency Resort. There, to get a beach chair, you have to buy a day pass for $35, but I didn't plan on staying long enough to just tify the expense, so we took a walk on the beach, had a couple of beers at the beach bar (Clubbie is a really cool bartender) took a couple of pictures and went back to the port area for more shopping. The Hyatt and its beach are absolutely beautiful and we plan to return when we port there in December on our next cruise.

 

We didn't even ask at the time what the day pass includes, but now I'm curious. Who can tell me what you get (if anything) besides the use of a beach chair?

It includes a $15 food and booze credit. The problem is that drinks are very expensive, a cruiser posted that one shot was $15, and the total for 6 drinks was over $100, they were flabergasted. The Comfort Suites next door has no daily fee for cruisers and reasonable prices, but it's back a bit from the beach, a 50 yard walk from the pool. Their loungers on the beach are included.

And keep an eye on the tip. When we were there for the week, they added a tip on our ticket (all the restaurants and bars do this). You have to watch that or you'll be double tipping.

 

Also remember, the prices on the menu are usually in Cayman Dollars. You need to add 20% to that price for USD. Then they add an additional 15% for the tip...so it adds up.
