WiFi on Valor?

It is my understanding that WiFi is available throughout the ship. Does that mean it is accessible out of doors, on the decks? The reason I ask is because my son is bringing a satellite phone with him to keep in touch with work, and that has to be used outdoors. If he needs to be on his laptop and the phone at the same time, would the Wi-Fi work on a balcony or one of the outside deck areas?

 

Is the Wi-Fi reliable?

I was on Valor Nov. 2005. The wi-fi worked every where I tried it, from up on the Lide deck to in my romm on deck 3. It definitely is faster early or late because the satellite has limited bandwidth. I e-mail my boys at home and sent picture attachments too. It's speed is about that of wireless A connections. It even worked sitting in my shower.

Wifi worked well throughout the Valor, as for his Satellite Phone he will need to be outdoors to get signal.
