magicalrx Posted May 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 28, 2006 :D We started thinking about this cruise a year before the actual departure, the cruise of a life time sailing around our head. What an under estimation................This was more wonderful then we ever could have imagined. Each port had it's own magic. (there were 9 ports on this 28 day trip) The people in Sydney were wonderful, and the New Zealanders made us smile, but then we were blessed to meet the Islanders of the South Pacific. They embraced us with warm smiles and shared their exotic beautiful homelands and waters with us. Noticeably, happy people who were not wealthy in material things but so very rich in life. Our ship the Diamond Princess was comfortable and enriched with very special personnel who catered to our needs with professionalism and humor. Each day was a reward because of their dedicated work ethic. There were a couple of areas on the ship that could have been better. The gym was not adequate for the amount of passengers, and the spa left us a bit wanting. The hardest part of this cruise was saying good-bye to the staff and friends we had the good fourtune to meet. Magicalrx San Diego
Druke I Posted May 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 28, 2006 That's a great cruise. We did San Francisco to Sydney, 28 nights, 9-00, on the last voyage of Sky Princess as a Princess ship - and it remains one of my favorite cruises. I agree about the friendliness of those "down under". We seriously considered moving to Bay of Islands area, North Island, New Zealand, and I am still toying with that thought.
