LDinCT Posted May 31, 2006 #1 Share Posted May 31, 2006 Has anyone seen these $199 3/4 deals for Alaska lately. I have one from an old email, but don't see these rates on the HAL site. Looking to take DS with us to Alaska In Aug., but fares are so high we are looking for reasonable deal. Would like to stay with one of the smaller ships like Zaandam or Veendam. Would like a balcony, but those rates are pretty high.
Pudgesmom Posted May 31, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 31, 2006 There may be a "promo" number on the offer. Reread the email and see. Then reference that promo when booking your cruise. Sometimes there is a time limit on the offer, or it may have limited capacity. After a certain number of these fares are booked, the offer expires. LDinCT Posted June 1, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted June 1, 2006 Ooh, I was excited until I saw it expired 3/31! But thanks for showing me where I saw it. Too bad I missed it. I don't know why I didn't book it when I was onboard the Zaandam in March. I think we tried to find the future cruise person, but never could. Oh well. Now, I'm hoping for a last minute special- LOL. Don't know if it matters to you ... but be aware that on cruises where that sort of deal is offered, you're gonna have a ship sailing at above normal capacity ... with tons and tons of kids onboard. At prices like that, parents almost can't afford NOT to take the kids. It will actually be cheaper than leaving them at home with a sitter! :) Blue skies ... --rita
