CityGrrl Posted June 1, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2006 I'm just wondering if anyone has ever gotten a massage on embarkation day. I'd like to start my cruise by lowering my adrenaline level a couple of notches, and a massage always seems to get the job done. Would the spa be open? And would it be outlandish to hope that it might not be a popular spa day and there might be discounts (a girl can hope anyway!)? Oh, yeah, cruising on AoS out of San Juan. Thanks! GMoney Posted June 1, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2006 You can generally book spa / salon treatments on embarkation day from after the muster drill until they close. Usually no discounts though...
Married on Enchantment Posted June 1, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2006 I have found in my past cruises that they will offer a cheap 10 min massage ( which is still nice ) on embarkation day or the next to try to get people enjoy and book a full one later on in the cruise. indygirl2 Posted June 1, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 1, 2006 I got a massage on embarkation day on the Vision and they had all kinds of embarkation day specials. Normally the massage (1 hour) would be $99 and I paid $79. Have fun!
CityGrrl Posted June 1, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted June 1, 2006 Excellent news!! I'll pop by the spa and see what's possible. Thanks again!
wrp96 Posted June 1, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2006 On my Brilliance cruise, I got a massage and facial the day I boarded. On my Serenade cruise (out of San Juan) my best friend got a massage and we both got manicures. The secret to getting a spa treatment the day onboard is going to the spa as soon as you get onboard. It also helps if you have late seating. They usually won't start doing the treatments until later in the day, which puts the treatment times at the same time as early seating for dinner.
