Twaincruisers Posted June 6, 2006 #26 Share Posted June 6, 2006 We were at Coco Cay a couple months ago and Labadee in 2004. I liked different things about each even though I am not a beach person. The vendors are more aggressive in Labadee, but the goods are more of a variety. One sad thing was taking the transport and seeing the people with their heads pressed to the fence watching...I assumed that left over food may have gone to them at end of day. The mountains and rocks add a character to Labadee--a penninsula, not an island-- that the Bahama islands don't have. Recently on Coco Cay I walked a trail almost around the whole island (gave up not knowing how close I was to the end). The trail took me by isolated areas where people were swimming and up and down hills through the trees and over the rocks--it was a nice change. We didn't use the slide, etc, but we did have drinks and I thought the seapass was required. I am planning on finishing that trail in August on the Majesty. LenaDaLlama Posted June 9, 2006 #27 Share Posted June 9, 2006 The only thing you need cash for is the shopping...everything else is most definitely sea pass on CocoCay.... There are alot of new paths and they are very nice...we were lucky enough to get a ride all through the new paths...It was beautiful. There is one private home on the island owned by someone who lives in Texas. They have peacocks on the property. It was very nice. We got a lot of gorgeous pictures of what is to come....
