Review of the Star 5/28

I'm having severe cruise anticipation right now! It was a very nice afternoon here in Seattle (can't say the same for this morning!) and we went for a drive to get some different vantage points of the Star while it was in port. I got some nice pictures.

 

Then we watched it go by after it left port this afternoon. I could picture the sail away party and smell the BBQ on the pool deck, and hear the music.

 

It is now less than a week away and I'm getting SO anxious.

 

I have so much to do this week to get ready, but also all kinds of other things going on. We have 8 members arriving from out of town, so have to get ready for company, along with several appts and things to do. It's never dull, that's for sure!

Hikini, I know what you mean about the week before your cruise getting pretty busy and also stressful :eek: (even without guests arriving)!

 

Just try to relax and stay calm and picture in your mind what you'll be doing the week of June 18th! :D

Thanks Brunolvr - This week will be stressful, but there are good things too. First, I look forward to seeing my brother and his family again, when they arrive from AZ.

 

And one of my appts this week is not a bad appt. It's at the spa. Gotta get the brows waxed and have a facial before the cruise!:D

 

The rest of the appts I could do without. (Physical therapy due to a car accident - oh bother!) But on the other hand, if the PT will help me be able to carry heavy luggage, then I'm all for it. Gotta look for the good in everything.

Hikini- the anticipation is getting the best of me, too! I couldn't sleep last night because my mind was full of thoughts about the cruise and making sure I didn't oversleep because I'm starting a new, earlier schedule at work this week!

I'm so excited for you guys! We just got off the Sun a couple weeks ago and had such a great time, we decided to book the Star for the 9/17 sailing and take the kids(13 & 16) this time after hearing all the raves about her. Now we have something to look forward to and a new ship to research.:D :D

 

I hope you have the best time!!!! And, give us the whole scoop when you get back!!:D

You will love the Star! We certainly enjoyed our time aboard her in 2004 and I'm sure it will be just as great this time. How nice for you to go again so soon. September is a great time to go to AK.

We wouldn't be going again so soon, but the casino on the Sun was especially nice to me and I saved most of my winnings towards this next cruise....plus the fact that we booked inside this time, no airfare needed because we are only a 3 hr drive away, etc. (well, you get the picture). I was never interested in cruising before but DH (who was in the Navy and was at sea alot) talked me into it........now I am so hooked!!!!!:D Can't imagine what my hangup about it was.

 

Your excitement is definitely contagious. Have fun at your pre-cruise spa appt.! Enjoy the pampering and the anticipation! Only a few more days left for you!!!!:D :D :D
