Needtobecruisin' Posted June 8, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2006 Hi, I am trying to convince my hubby that Bermuda is the place we need to cruise to next. Everybody I have talked to says it is a wonderful place to visit. He doesn't want to go because he is afraid there is no gambling and he knows that there won't be any gambling on the ship as long as it is in port. Can anybody tell me if there is gambling in Bermuda or not? Thanks for your help.

Bermudalou Posted June 8, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2006 There are NO casinos in Bermuda. If you are cruising, ship casinos will be closed while in port. Yes, Bermuda is a "wonderful place". There are many things to see & do!!! Great beaches, history, attractions & most of all great people!!!

Thanks for your help. There is no gambling or casinos in Bermuda. But I am sure that you can lose enough money on the 4 sea days you spend getting there. LOL I enjoyed the casino onboad the Majesty but I would get tired of it after a while. Once you are in Bermuda, if you take the Majesty or Crown you have 3 1/2 days to try to explore this wonderful island. It is so relaxing and beautiful. Just not as intense as the Carribean or Aruba. Sometimes you need a change of pace to recharge your batteries. I would let the lack of gambling prevent you from enjoying one of most enchanting places on earth. Needtobecruisin' Posted June 15, 2006 Author #9 Share Posted June 15, 2006 I think Bermuda sounds like a wonderful place to visit. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I can talk hubby into going there. He always complains that you never have enough time in the ports so maybe being able to stay in one place for 3 days will help him to decide on Bermuda. Thanks again everybody for your help. madelinerose Posted June 15, 2006 #10 Share Posted June 15, 2006 I understand exactly what he's saying. We've booked a 5-day to Bermuda and even that won't be long enough, since Bermuda is an island where you can travel freely and linger. There is a poll on the Princess board asking for suggestions for itineraries. The majority voted for a weeklong cruise to Bermuda. Sounds great to me. The ships that now sail for 7 days are older ships without the amenities, etc. that we prefer. Perhaps a land vacation to Bermuda is in order, since you live so close. ;) I think Bermuda sounds like a wonderful place to visit.
