B2B Liberty - boarding question

We have booked B2B cruises on the Liberty. On the first cruise we have an outside cabin. One the second we have a suite. Do you think Carnival would let us use the VIP boarding privileges when we board for the first cruise?

I was on the Transatlantic 4/06. A lot were on the Transatlantic/First Med. According to the John Heald, CCL would transfer your clothes--hang them up--should you change rooms for each of the cruises. I strongly suspect [but don't "quote me"] you'd get VIP for the first cruise

Unless you have VIP status, you don't get VIP treatment when doing a B2B. They make you wait down in the purser's area (main lobby) until all passengers have disembarked. Then, they escort you (and the others doing a B2B) off the ship, directly down to the terminal to the agents at the counter, wait for you to re-check in, get your new S&S cards, etc. Then they escort you back onboard.

After getting back onboard, you go directly to your old stateroom, collect your belongings and bring them to your new stateroom and meet your new room steward, etc.

Then hit the Lido deck and wait and watch for those first few people entering the Lido deck (that you've already frequented for a week before), and watch their faces and expressions as they check everything out! It's fun "people watching" time (well at least it was for hubby and I), especially the FIRST people on the Lido deck who thought they were FIRST only to find US there! LOL

The only thing I didn't like about the whole disembark/re-embark thing was that you didn't get a photo at the terminal like you did when checking in the first week.

Hope all that helps, and enjoy the Liberty, she is definitely a beauty!
