which staterooms on star are "new"

Just got stateroom assigned for the Aug. 3, Star Princess. I am just curious if this is one of the rooms that was rebuilt because of the fire.

There are many photos of the cabins under repair at this site, you can try to compare the photos with where you booked.

According to the deck plan:

Cabin B401 is on the starboard side, the right side facing forward.

 

The fire affected the cabins on the port side, left side facing forward.

 

You will be in a cabin that did not burn......:)

 

We are sailing on the Sapphire Princess which burned (as the Diamond) while it was under construction and was rebuilt and renamed to Sapphire.

 

The existing Diamond was originally names Sapphire but since the original Diamond (now Sapphire) burned it was renamed Diamond and entered service first.
