I wanted to know if anyone can give me some names of hotels in Fort Lauderdale that are close enough to the cruise port and at a reasonable price. And maybe some that let you park there for the week that you are gone for the cruise. And also maybe some names of parking places near the crusie port also. Thanks ahead for any info that you can give me. Thanks, Monica :D

Hi Monica,

Listed below are the links to the hotels closest to Port Everglades. You can click on the links to see if the rates are reasonable to you. Amerisuites and Embassy Suites used to let you park for the week if you stayed there pre-cruise, you'll have to check and see if that's still the case. This link lists two other hotels as part of their park/sleep/cruise package :http://www.parksleepfly.com/cruiseport_hotels/hotel_display.php?hotel_type=cruiseport&cruiseportID=59The best place to park would be the port, for $12 a day it's the safest, securest place to park in town. Nearby is the Park and Fly lot for $8 per day http://www.parknflynetwork.com/ftlauderdale.htm?gclid=CKLTqcO3u4UCFQprVAodsW6xzA

Just scroll through the threads in this forum and you'll see several about hotels in Ft. Lauderdale. Here's one that has a lot of information:

FYI, if you decide on the Amerisuites, you can book it through Valuetrips for $69 a night (some people got it for $79).

Since we are arriving in Ft. L'dale late the evening before our early cruise on 06/21/06 and just mainly need a decent place to sleep and get up early, our travel agent booked us at the Comfort Suites Hotel near the cruise port ($75/night). They provide free shuttle to the cruise terminal PLUS are allow us to leave our vehicle parked there in their lighted/secured lot the week we are gone at no charge. We will be staying there the night we return also. You might check to see if they have any rooms available. Also, the cruise terminal has a parking garage that you can leave your vehicle for about $12/day, but the hotel saves you that money. Good luck!
