Joyvey Posted June 29, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 29, 2004 I was onthe Galaxy 14 night in May and there were 3 formal nights. Hope this helps Enjoy!
LSilver Posted June 29, 2004 #3 Share Posted June 29, 2004 Walter: 2 of the formal nights will be the second night and the next-to-the-last night. The 3rd will depend on your itinerary -- usually a sea day.

Longboysfan Posted June 29, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 29, 2004 Walter - if you have a TUX you bring - you may want to go to a local place that rents them. See if they sell Ties and cumberbuns of a different color. Breaks up the same old....
Cruise Dragon Posted June 29, 2004 Author #6 Share Posted June 29, 2004 Thanks, I ws planning on renting a tux from Celebrity. On our honeymoon, we found that renting it the cruise line make the most sense. It was niice to have it delevered by the Butler and be able to leave it on board when we leave. Also that way I don't have worry about the tux not fitting. Walter

Deb C. Posted June 30, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 30, 2004 As previously stated--it depends on your itinerary. I was on the Zenith-14 day cruise last Nov. FORMAL-- Day 2,8,13 INFORMAL--Day 3,5,9,11 CASUAL--1,4,6,7,10,12,14 Which ship are you sailing? Have a great cruise. Love that Celebrity!!
LSilver Posted June 30, 2004 #9 Share Posted June 30, 2004 AnnSara: Besides the 2nd and next-to-last nights, I don't remember when the 3rd formal was. I was on a trans-Canal cruise; so even if I remembered and you're on a different cruise your 3rd night could still be different. -- Lee
Longboysfan Posted June 30, 2004 #10 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Walter - as for renting. If you like to wear a tux - go out and buy one. The wife did this for me a few years back. And I am very happy she did. Now this eleminates any guessing as to what to bring. And as I stated - I have an alternate time and cumberbun along with a black shirt. I'm told it looks very nice. Cruise Dragon Posted July 25, 2004 Author #12 Share Posted July 25, 2004 The problem with buying a tux is I'm not at my ideal weight yet, so I like the idea of not having to having it fixed every year, I also like the idea that we don't have to worry about packing it. reggierail Posted July 26, 2004 #13 Share Posted July 26, 2004 The breakpoint is 9 nights, any cruise 9 nights or longer is 3 formal nights. Less than 8 nights are 2 formal nights. Reggie
