Deep Purple Formal - What color shoes?

I bought a beautiful very deep purple formal today for my upcoming cruise. I'm stumped on what color heels to buy. I don't think I would find shoes to match exactly? Any thoughts on shoes for this color dress? Do I have any alternatives to black?

Black is always good, but how about silver?

Is the dress color deep purple like say a plum? If it is that dark, I would suggest some of the new bronze metallics. A lighter purple would look nice with silver, but if the dress is a really deep color, I think the silver would be too light.

I would think gold strappy sandals with gold accessories. Maybe bronze depending on what you could find.

Silver or Gold. Deep purple, royal purple looks amazing with gold. Lighter and it's silver. I do like the idea of a metalic snakeskin.

I have a cocktail dress in a rich purple. I wear it with a pair of pale gold patterned fabric ankle strap Kate Spades and it looks great!

 

I would not black personally but like the idea of a metallic print or skin as well.

Try clear shoes or sandals. They go with everything.
