boxsterr Posted June 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2006 Has anyone ever done the Silverseas tour which includes Hidden Palaces? We are considering a cruise which includes St. Petersburg and someone mentioned this fabulous shore excursion during which you go to what look like regular homes but on the inside are quite spectacular...where the aristocracy lived in the late 1800's. I can find nothing on the website which describes this. Thanks, Brenda
cruiseerf Posted June 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2006 Hello: On a private tour a couple of years ago we went to one of these. Looked quite plain from the outside yes once inside....WOW. I am sure the best of these is where we went and it was (spelline wrong Im sure) Yusopov palace. Inside had private church...chapel and dining/dancing for 500. Outside looked like a plain simple home. One of the best things we saw in St. Petersburg.
