ladylegend Posted June 14, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2006 I am planning a family cruise (at least 8 people) and am thinkinkg about the celebration out of jacksonville. Has when sailed this ship lately. I've only sailed once (imagination/2005) and really enjoyed that...but how's the celebration for groups. Is there anything I really should know when planning for a group...other than contacting a pvp.
Chris1455 Posted June 16, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 16, 2006 I was on the Celebration last Aug. Be advised, it is a small ship and the second oldest in the fleet. That being said, I had a great time. Service was great, embarkation and debarkation went smooth. Food was good, shows were nice. Actually it was the best vacation I have ever been on but I believe that had more to do with some of the great people I met on board. As long as your expectations are not too high, you will enjoy this ship.
obx_fintoo Posted June 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted June 16, 2006 I'm a big Celebration fan! If you do a Title Search for Celebration, you will find lots of info and reviews about this small, friendly ship. Have fun on your cruise!
tkportersat Posted June 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 16, 2006 Celebration was my first cruise, and I have been hooked on cruising ever since! The Celebration is smaller and the decor a little dated, but I had a great time both times I was on her. If it came to Galveston again I wouldn't hesitate to go again! Very easy ship to navigate. Probably a little rougher ride at sea than the bigger ships, so if you or someone in your group gets sick easily than go straight to the infirmary and get the free motion sickness pills. Have fun! earlethepearl Posted June 16, 2006 #6 Share Posted June 16, 2006 I cruised on the Celebration when she was new back in the 80's, and what seems small now seemed HUGE back then. It is all in what you make of it. She is a great ship and you will have a wonderful time. Happy Cruising!
CPAYNE1997 Posted June 16, 2006 #7 Share Posted June 16, 2006 My family and I had a wonderful time on the Celebration. Yes it is a small ship and a little out dated decor wise but it was a wonderful cruise. Great food, great entertainment and a wonderful staff. If you are going to have a good, relaxing cruise and a lot of fun the celebration is good for that! :)
