Back...nice enjoyable evening. I do think the new menu's aren't as good as the old ones. Its a nice ship. The food service for breakfast was a little off and the room service was slow. Very friendly crew. The beds seem smaller width that the other NCL ships we were on but the room seemed bigger(just a window outside). They didn't have time to restock the liquor store from last trip so no vodka and limited other booze- remember it wasn't duty free this time(we weren't gone long enough) BUT the prices are still very low(no state taxes) and the limit per person is 12 LITERS! It was late yesterday. Getting on for Latitudes was still a breeze we were on the ship by 12:30 and into lunch before one--- almost no one was eating in the dining room which was empty when the BBQ was mobbed. No fridge in the room and the safe didn't work. The show in the sheet said Broadway but they changed it to American voices or something like that. The performers were very good but I and most people didn't like it- more Miami Beach than Broadway...Lots of good bands they had a New Years eve party and that bad was really good. I danced bad knee and all. I like the Captain's bridge view of the bridge(you go down by a stairway and its like a bridge tour). They also have repeaters of the bridge equipment immediately about the bridge that shows what the helms person sees... At 1 am we were traveling at a pedestrian 1.9 knots(less than 2.2 miles) about 20 miles from the Jones Beach inlet I think. Easy off today but of course the ship came in at a different finger pier than it left from yesterday so the car was parked a couple of blocks away(remember the bad knee). The Pier yesterday was a zoo with three ships in NCL's Dawn and Spirit and the Carnival Legend. Beds though small were comfortable...

The pool was nice crowded but warm and plenty of chairs.

The Casino was also nice but also mobbed- NCL did very well- people drank, gambled and shopped( we did too). Stayed up late and we were not rushed out. Too leisurely a breakfast and home by 11...

My SIXTH NCL cruise...

Thanks Sid,

Sounds like you had a good time. BTW Happy Father`s Day:)

Interesting about the liquor. When we sailed out of Bayonne, NJ. They would not open the liquor store at all. I guess those NJ State Laws again:rolleyes:

No dancing for you today, take it easy:D
