chopstix2000 Posted June 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2006 Can anyone recommend a good travel steamer for clothes? I hate ironing when I travel and I think steaming is faster and less troublesome. I'm so lazy about ironing that sometimes I hang my wrinkled piece of clothing in the bathroom and take a really long, hot shower so that the steam that builds up in the bathroom will get some of the wrinkles out. Heh.
Happy ks Posted June 18, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 18, 2006 I have a Rowenta and while I like it, it hardly can do the job of an iron. I no longer take it along when travelling, instead I pack in dry cleaner bags and packing folders. If you really hate to iron, why not send the stuff out to be pressed when you board the ship? It's about half the cost of cleaning and your clothes will look so much better than just steamed out with the shower. There is that Downey wrinkle stuff, but I hate adding an odor to my clothes, although some people swear by it. I have mentioned my husbands ironing habits and I do have to say, I love to iron clothes. Especially linen, I love the smell of it. I iron everything I wear, even T-shirts to go to the grocery store. You'll not see me in wrinkled clothing!
