Carnival- Question about Alcohol

Recommended Posts

I know every cruiseline is different but we have never been on a Carnival cruise before. I know I heard that Royal Carribbean allows people that are 18 to drink beer or wine with the acceptance from their parents. Does carnival work with the same rules or is this not allowed at all? If anyone knows the answer I would be greatful for the help! Thanks.

On Carnival ships, a person must be 21 at the time of boarding to purchase any alcoholic beverages, and this includes beer and wine. Their Sail & Sign card will be encoded as to their birthdate, and they are very strict about NOT selling to minors (under 21). Bartenders make no exceptions for anyone.
