What makes a good cabin?

In the past I've always worked on the deck as being the main guide to cabin preference - The higher the deck the better. I know that on the QE2, at the stern of deck 5, you get some noise from the propellers and that on deck 1, in the bows, it can be quite choppy even in a calm sea but that's about it.

What should I be looking for to get my ideal cabin? We're to be in cabin 1104 at Christmas (remember what I said about a high deck?) any opinions about it?

I reckon you've found it in 1104!

(I'm one deck down and slightly forward (2122) next year.)

Let me know after your voyage if you were right, love to know.

Very best wishes
