Hi All,

Thought it was time for another topic thread. Apart from all the usual things like passport and tickets what is the one thing you would not cruise without?? And also what is one thing you took but didn't use?

For me I'm going to be a suck and say the one thing I would not cruise without would be my Mum (hi Suey!!). She got me into cruising and I don't think I would enjoy a cruise if she wasn't there with me!!

The thing I took but didn't use, too many clothes!! I am gradually getting my brain around packing less but it has taken me 6 cruises to work it out!!

Anyone else want to add anything?

Cheers,

Chaz:)

Your ticket!! Unbelievable, but I turned up at the checkin without my ticket. Never again, it will be the first and last thing I check. Luckily they just printed me another one. I found my handbag a great help even though others said I wouldn't need one. I felt good to know that I had my book, sunglasses, puffer, tissues etc. It saved me running back to my room for this and that. I did like the lanyard for the cruisecard and room key though. I took one from home as I had heard that those they sell onboard aren't quite long enough and you have to bend to insert your keycard to your room. I got a nice long one.

My personal favourite is the power board to charge the video, camera, phone etc etc and the mobile phone is an essential. Always ring my mum at sailaway and she watches us on the webcam.

I'm also with the too many clothes, everytime I come back with items I didnt wear.

Can't think of anything other than what has alrady been mentioned & the obvious things but one thing I took & didn't use was a torch. No need for one because each bed has it's own light.

the thing I used the most , well at least twice a day was the febreeze.Every morning as I woke up I could smell smoke. It seemed to be coming through the wall!!I imagined some one was in bed on the other side and having a smoke.I put a towel down under the door at night. So didn't come in that way. Very strange

I am and always have been a non smoker but you know, I never found smoking a problem whilst on the cruise. Certainly not in the cabin. The only place I thought it was a bit of a problem was in Legends bar and maybe the Casino. Even then, it wasn't that bad. And I hate smoke.

I wouldn't leave home without my passport, cruise ticket and money. That way, if i was to forget something, like sunscreen, at least I could buy it on the ship! And know I had money.:D

Other than that, I wouldn't forget my swimmers and that wonderful feeling of being on holidays!! :)

Next time I will most certinly take my own water bottle! I must have bought 20 of those so I could refill them but the cabin boy kept finding them and throwing them out or someone else would think it was theirs and take a swig out of it then I would throw it out So next time deffinately a water bottle

On all three ships (Pacific Sky, Pacific Sun & Pacific Star) I found the worst place for smoke to be the Casino. Which is why I liked that on Pacific Star they had a smoke free night almost every other night. And not suprisingly those nights were the busiest.

On Pacific Sun the other bad place was the promenade deck area outside the Gazebo Bar, and the kids area next to the Casino where the arcade games were (all residue from the Casino).
