Tadybug Posted June 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2006 Hi Folks, We are going on the June 25th Rhapsody cruise to Caribbean and I have a couple of questions. First, does anyone know the best way to reserve parasailing in Cayman Islands. The younger ones in our group want to do that. Can I go to seven mile beach and just set it up when we get there? Next question, I was told to go to Playa Del Carmen in Cozumel, anyone know the best way to get there? I didn't see it in the excursion book. I believe we are going to do the river tubing, Dunns Falls in Jamaica with Phil Lafayette tours (haven't heard back from him yet). I am so late on all this stuff because I have been so busy until this week. Daughter graduated last Friday and I work at the elementary school which just got out last Friday. Between all the end of the year stuff and parties for grad I was too busy to schedule things. Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
ranchingal Posted June 21, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2006 You have to take the ferry across to the mainland to go to Playa del Carmen. Make sure you leave enough time to get back to the ship so you don't get left behind.
Tadybug Posted June 21, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted June 21, 2006 How long does it take? Is it worth the time or do you have another suggestion
ranchingal Posted June 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2006 Playa del Carmen is very nice, but there are plenty of nice beaches on Coz. Just grab a cab and tell the driver where you want to go. This link can help you decide which one you want to go to. Much less expensive than the ships excursions. Just make sure of the taxi fare before you get in. As is the case anywhere, buyer beware. http://www.cozumelinsider.com/Beaches
ranchingal Posted June 21, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 21, 2006 Here is a link to some transportaion information on Coz. The ferry schedule is listed there too. Just remember, times can be subject to change, so leave yourself some wiggle room.
