Lisbon to Port on the Douro Queen

I was on this cruise two years ago and am going back again this fall. We were on smaller but elegant ship. The ship they use now is a brand new one. It was a most enjoyable cruise. We had our own bus which followed the cruise and took us on our daily excursions. Two or three nights we were taken to elegant places for dinner - a monastary that is now a hotel and a large manor home. We also had tours and tastings at one or two wineries.

The scenery along the river is fantastic. We dock at local villages where there is time to shop, etc. One day we took a tour into Salamenca - a large Spanish town. It was delightful - lots of shopping, magnificent cathedrals and a wonderful lunch at a local hotel which was our base while we were there.

The pre-cruise excursion at Lisbon and the ride north to Porto were also extra special. I am sure you would enjoy the cruise.
