How is the recovery from last year's hurricane coming along in Grand Cayman??

I tried to do a search on this question but only came up with a few comments here and there. Seems the damage was extensive, but can anyone who recently visited comment on how the recovery is coming along? How does the damage in Grand Cayman compare to Cozumel, and is it worth getting off the ship, dealing the tender etc.?

Definately get off the ship. We spent a week there this past January, and although you can still see areas that are damaged (mostly away from George Town), the place is really up and going once again.

We picked up a book called "Paradise Interrupted" and we were just stunned at how much damage there was after Ivan. You really would have no clue looking at the place as it is today.

We stayed in a condo on 7MB and the beach area is just lovely. We're going back next January for a week. :)

I don't know what's going on in Cozumel, because we haven't been there since the hurricane, but Grand Cayman has really gotten things back on track rather quickly....

We were there in march and took a 40 min drive to Rum Point on the other end of the island. The damage to the trees and foliage as well as a lot of structures was evident. Once at Rum Point it was as if nothing had happened. Last week we drove from the pier up to Hell and stopped at a couple of beaches on the way back. Every thing we saw was Back to business as usual. Saw some "new construction" This may be from hurricane damage but it looked just like a new hotel.
