mardigras81 Posted June 25, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2006 We just sailed Spirit in June and I saw somewhere people talking about rearranging their room if they have 4 people in it. If you have 4 to a room there are two twins and 1 bunk. One twin has a trundle under it so when pulled out you basically have 3 twins across with no room between. As soon as we got into our room we took the chair on the right out and then pulled the twin with trundle forward toward the bathroom, moved the nightstand to head of this twin and then put trundle on wall with the window (fake or real). In essence you create a U shape with the beds. This then frees up under both beds for suitcases and everyone can get up and access their beds without crawling over someone else. People have mentioned they had the chair removed, we did not, just pulled it out, could easily get around it. On a storage note, definitely bring hangers and hang as much as you can, there are not alot of drawers, there are 5 nice corner shelves in the closet and the bathroom has a nice vanity with a shelf underneath as well as 4 corner shelves on the mirror. No problem with plugging in cell phone chargers, electric razors, hair dryers and flat or curling irons, just bring an extension cord. Worked great. I personally slept on the trundle and found it very comfortable, the only thing is it is a little shorter, so put the tall people in the beds, shorter one on the trundle. judyf Posted June 25, 2006 #2 Share Posted June 25, 2006 Do you have a picture to post of this arrangement. We have never had more then two in a cabin but we might have more one trip. Thanks for the tips.

mardigras81 Posted June 26, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted June 26, 2006 Just a regular 2 prong 12 foot extension cord plugged into the only outlet in the room. Then we could plug multiple things into the triple end of the extension cord. I'm trying to download a diagram of the bed arrangement to show how it works. Hopefully soon! jp2001 Posted June 26, 2006 #5 Share Posted June 26, 2006 That bed arrangement is a good idea (better than the ''triple'' bed anyway).

jimswims Posted June 28, 2006 #7 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Thank you for the tips on the bed arrangements in the room. We have 4 in our room on the Spirit in August, 2 adults and 2 kids (11, 8). We are used to the 2 upper and the 2 lower configuration. We did our homework so we knew that there was only one upper in the quad rooms on the Spirit. This info will help us a lot! monicajay Posted June 28, 2006 #8 Share Posted June 28, 2006 Sounds like a great idea. Maybe it will work on the Dawn too. I would love to see a picture of this arrangement. The part that sounds best is then freeing up the space under the bed for suitcases. M.
