Tinknock50 Posted October 20, 2006 #29 Share Posted October 20, 2006 I checked this deck out personally while I was on the Zaandam (sister to Volendam). If you have a choice of these 2 cabins, pick 7086. 7083 does have a stairway descending in front of it......doesn't block your view entirely, but I think it would be better to get 7086. Tinknock50 Posted October 20, 2006 #30 Share Posted October 20, 2006 You can see the stairs descening to the right in front of 7083. The deck in question is the frirst covered deck from the top.....under the pool deck.

Marjeanne Posted October 21, 2006 #32 Share Posted October 21, 2006 We were in 7085 for our "No more Dam ships" cruise to Alaska 9/20/2006... Had extremely rough seas the first nite and thru the next evening. She rocked and rolled pretty good, but that doesn't bother DH and my self, however, there were a lot of pax that became ill that had aft cabins. The room is beautiful, fabulous bed, clean and very close to elevators that take you to the Lido buffet, (where we unfortunately, spent most of our time). Our Cabin Steward was Harsan and he is the greatest. please tell him that Jeanne and Huston send him our best wishes. I only hope that the plumbing problem has been fixed and you don't have to travel 3 floors up or 2 floors down to use the facilities. I don't know how to attach a file however you can find my review by clicking on my name. Bon Voyage Jeanne
