How to get the VAT back?

I will be on the Legendary Danube trip in July. When we leave Czeck Rep. do they give us the paper-work for the VAT refund? Seems that since Prague will be the only place where we will be spending any extended time we might make some bigger purchases there. Thanks Larry

Hi Larry, wont be long now. The best explanation of this complicated system can be found at http://www.czechtourism.com, when you get to the home page, on the right hand side is a link to "pratical matters". Unless you are making a large purchase, its not worth the trouble IMO.

Hi Don, Thanks for the site. I guess they'll have a customs agent around when we are at the border on the bus. Got my papers yesterday and all in order - can't wait. Everthing that I do in the office is with an eye toward "will it hold till I get back?" Seems we will be at the Hilton. Maybe we'll run into each other. Safe flight. Larry
