Hi

Can anyone help - what are my choices if I want to have a pre dinner drink in my cabin?

Can I buy a bottle of scotch or wine on board to drink in our room or do I go the other way and take on board a bottle. I would take the scotch as that would last the whole trip where as the wine might last half an hour!:D

You can't buy bottles of spirits onboard to consume in your room. Only duty free to take home. You can buy a glass of scotch from the bar and take that to your room or maybe even order through room service.

 

Technically you are not allowed to take alcohol onboard. They didn't notice/care about my bottle in my suitcase.

Thanks, now how DID you get a bottle on board - I am willing to try but where isthe best place to put it and should I put it into a plastic container ie cordial bottle or such:D

 

By the way I loved your review (and your daughter's) and the photos were great. I will pass them on to my partners parents who are heading there next month. Didn't think the temp would be so great - sounds awesome. Another place I want to get to one day:)
