Star Princess NE/ Canada Cruise

I am planning to do a NE/ Canada on the Star Princess in October. I am wondering if the minisuites are the way to go. Where is the best location, are they private and who has pictures. Is there a charge for the pool in the spa,

is that swim against the current, how does it work. How is the food in the dining room. Which way to go Traditional or personal choice. How are the other restaurants Sabatinis and Sterling, what is the extra charge, is it worth it. Last cruise on Princess was about 5 years ago on the Sea, the food was great, they even had complimentary drinks, I remember Korbel one night in casino before dinner.

There are some threads on the Princess roll call for the Canada/New England cruise. We are on the Star on Oct 21st and booked a balcony cabin on Caribe deck. These cabins have balconies that are half covered. The minisuites are open balconies unless you get one on Emerald deck near the rear. The food is very good and the service is excellent. I have never been to Sabatini's because it's a huge meal and I can't eat that much. We have gone to the Sterling Steakhouse and it was worth the extra money. I think they have done away with complimentary drinks except at the Captain's welcome aboard party and Captain's Circle party.
