SailingDeanna Posted June 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2006 Has anyone eaten at the Lighthouse restaurant? Was it neat? Tell me about it.
drew sailbum Posted July 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2006 The Lighthouse is one of the best of Cayman's restaurant offerings. It is located on the south shore in the area of Breaker's and commands a beautiful view of the sea. The food is, as to be expected, excellent. The wine selection is fairly impressive from what I recall. The Lighthouse has been a favorite of stay-over tourists and island residents for years. It's distance from Georgetown limits the appeal to the cruise ship traffic. They do serve lunch, but The Lighthouse is usually regarded as a special evening out. SailingDeanna Posted July 6, 2006 Author #3 Share Posted July 6, 2006 I found smoothies on the menu. If we stop off in the afternoon with kids and shorts, are we inappropriate? Is it too high scale of a restaurant to do this? We are mostly just wanting to see the inside of the Lighthouse.
charlielinda Posted July 12, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2006 My husband have I have spent many weeks on Grand Cayman and this is by far one of the nicest restaurants on the island -- on any island -- it's wonderful!
SailingDeanna Posted July 15, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted July 15, 2006 Does the inside still retain some of it's lighthouse characteristics? Or is it completely remodeled only to look like a restaurant? Can you go to the top where the light is?
