Upgrading to a Mini Suite

I'm leaving Southampton tomorrow on the Sea Princess. My TA has told me that upgrading from a standard balcony is impossible, but in reading this board I see that people do it. I guess I could ask when boarding, it would be nice. Any suggestions on how to do it?

Well, poof went my first answer so I will give you the short version.

#1-There shows no availability of anything except inside and outside cabins for your sailing on the Sea Princess.

#2-On the Sea Princess, since the full and mini suites are so few, they normally sell out early and having one available the day before or the day of sailing is almost laughable.

#3-On this ship, you really have to plan ahead and I mean anywhere from 6 months to 18 months to get a mini suite.

#4-Princess normally will give complimentary upgrades to higher category cabins if they are available before the ship sails.

#5-If you don't believe the above, then check with the Purser's Desk after you board. I can 99.999999999% gurantee that there will not be any mini suites available for your cruise. Sorry! :(
