emiliesmom Posted July 3, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 3, 2006 My husband is a diver and I'm trying to arrange for him to go on a dive to the Wreck of the Rhone in BVI. Our cruise hits Tortola, Grand Turk, BVI at noon in early November. I was hoping the cruise would offer a tour but they don't. Any suggestions for local operators? Will the late arrival be a problem? This is supposed to be an excellent wreck dive and I'd love to be able to surprise him with it. Thanks for your help!
bruce-r Posted July 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 3, 2006 There are three dive operators on Grand Turk. You'll have to contact all of them to see if one of them can accommodate your DH. http://www.grandturkscuba.com/ http://www.oasisdivers.com/ http://seaeyediving.com/ Oasis divers is the cruise ship contractor, so you probably won't be able to book directly with them if the ship offers any diving, but it sure won't hurt to ask. Hope this helps, Bruce
Hilary Posted July 5, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 5, 2006 Grand Turk Island is in the Turks and Caicos, not Tortola. If your ship stops in Tortola, it's generally at Road Town...is this what you mean? There are some good dive operators in Tortola, and it's easy to do a search on this board to find the threads that list them (sorry, I don't have them). gvre Posted July 16, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2006 We have dove the RMS Rhone twice. Both times out of Tortola. UBS Divers are a great dive operator. Here a link: http://www.bviscuba.org/ubs_dive_center.htm Richard
