Excursion or not??????????

Hi All

My husband,brother,sister in-law and myself are all taking a cruise in March. One of our stops is San Juan we will be there from 5pm to midnight. I have heard that most of the shops are closed so would i be better off doing an excursion there instead of shooping? Any help would be great.

The stores start to close at 6 pm but many stay open cause of the ship.

I have read on other threads that it is not a good idea to be on the streets in

PR at nighttime. We have a friend who is PR from and when he went to a market in San Juan, someone robbed him.

 

Do an excursion, if they offer one for evenings. Do not do it alone.
