Carnival Elation...Inside on Verandah deck or 5A on Empress or Upper deck?

My DH and I are booked in an inside on Verandah deck (V12) on the Elation. We can change to a 5A on Empress or Upper deck (very front) and save $30pp. We have stayed in both inside and OV and do not have a preference. I like the idea of Verandah deck because of the convenience to Lido deck and all activities as well as being on a floor with fewer passenger cabins. Other than the advantage of having the portholes in the 5A, can anyone give other insight on the advantages of a 5A?

You pretty well covered it. We are booked on the Ecstasy and opted for the porthole on the upper deck because we like having daylight in our cabin rather than dark 24/7.
