Your older child will probably be in the activity area most of the time and not want to hear from you. Really no place to go anyway. The kids are monitored closely and always come home at dinner time.

You'll keep the younger with you anyway.

Please be considerate of others when using the radios. Many times other passengers have had to endure other peoples business. The radios are also noisy and disturb the "peace".

Our tablemates were in a wheel chair on last cruise. No problem, the dining staff is very accomodating. We all helped cut her meat; everyone at table was a non family "family".

Relax and enjoy, it's fun.

For Seattle sightseeing, you really can't beat the Space Needle. Go early in the day to beat the crowds. Then wander around the Seattle Center. It's a little bit hilly, but easily maneuverable in a wheelchair with assistance. If it's a sunny day, you'll see lots of kids playing in the fountain. Pike Place Market would be very difficult getting around in a wheelchair, unless again, you get there very early before the crowds start. There is also a Duck tour in Seattle which is tons of fun. Check with them about the chair access, but if they allow it, you'd all have great fun and see lots of the city.
