T-Mobile Prepaid Cells

Anyone have any idea if prepaid phones work in Bermuda? We just cancelled our Verizon service and picked up a T-mobile prepaid Cell since we do not use the Cell phone alot.I was advised by the sales rep when I purchased the phone that it would work but I contacted T-mobile direct and they said no it would not work with prepaid account, don't know who to believe! Any information would be greatly appreciated.:confused:
