looking for tips and places to go in costa maya

Hi all!!!! Im another person in need of help. We will be in costa maya on the 21st of Aug from noon to 7 pm.. we are wanting to hit a great place to snorkel and of course I have no clue what is a good place.. It will be with my hubby and 2 kids 14 and 9 who have snorkled a few times before. Im looking into the carnivals Cartman sail and snorkel. Just not sure if they go to a ok place to snorkel... Im also thinking private people to go thru just having trouble finding anything.. So really any help will be great... ty :)

We really liked Xel-Ha eco-park. They have great snorkeling - we saw a lot of fish and a few stingrays, even a barracuda.

 

We docked on Carnival Celebration at Calica, so I don't know how close this is to where you'll be. But I'd check it out. We did a ship's excursion to Xel-Ha, and also went to Tulum Mayan ruins.
