Booked on Sovereign???

I have booked a 4 day on the Sovereign for November 2007 (the monday after Thanksgiving). This will by my husband and mine 20th anniversary, so we won't have the kids. We have only done the Disney cruise line (1 3 day and 2 7 day cruises). I have booked a jr. suite, but really like the prices of the deluxe oceanview. Does RCCL let you upgrade at the port at a reduced rate?? Or would this be a typically crowded ship after Thanksgiving is past?? So many questions.

Upgrading at the port is risky-- nowdays most of the ships sail full and now that Diamond Plus C&A are allowed to upgrade 3 weeks prior to their cruise, the chances of getting on at embarkation are slim to none.

We will be on the 4 night 11/27/06. Just got a $20. PP price drop for a SO cabin. Call and see if the drop makes upgrading you cabin easier to afford.
